Baseball Recap: Crawford Takes a Loss

Crawford lost against Lincoln on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts fell 10-5 to the Hornets. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abbel Martinez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Hector Fuentes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Lincoln, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Crawford will take on Castle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colts are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they will square off against Mountain Empire at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Hornets have won nine straight at home, while the Redhawks won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
