Basketball Game Preview: West Florence Knights vs. Blythewood Bengals

The West Florence Knights and the Blythewood Bengals will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday without much rest having both just played.

On Wednesday, West Florence had to suffer through a 50-23 loss at the hands of Sumter. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Gamecocks: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Blythewood entered their tilt with Lugoff-Elgin on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Demons, posting a 94-31 victory. The Bengals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Blythewood pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for West Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

West Florence came up short against Blythewood when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 54-45. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Blythewood's Chase Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds.
