Softball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Marquette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-5 to the Menominee Maroons. The Sentinels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroons earlier this season, when they won 15-0.

Ady Trapani made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Sammi Trapani was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Marquette's loss dropped their record down to 19-18. As for Menominee, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 4-15 record.

While Marquette had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
