Waukesha South is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Catholic Memorial Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Waukesha South has three straight victories, Catholic Memorial has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Waukesha South's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Cudahy 13-0.

At the plate, Braden Montez was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Petfalski, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Waukesha South kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Catholic Memorial started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Union Grove. They fell just short of the Broncos by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.
Catholic Memorial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Wagner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Another was Marek Wawrzyniakowski, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Catholic Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Waukesha South, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Catholic Memorial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Waukesha South hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. It's a different story for Catholic Memorial, though, as they've only averaged .225. Will they be able to contain Waukesha South's hitters?
