It was a good run, but Grovetown unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Fox Creek Predators, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered since October 15, 2024.

While Grovetown ultimately came up short, they really made Fox Creek work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 26-24, 25-20.

Addyson Richards paced Grovetown's offense, picking up 13 kills. Richards got some help from Abi Widener and her 23 assists. Widener was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Grovetown's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Fox Creek, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grovetown will host Statesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fox Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
