Basketball Recap: Katelyn Pooley Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Indian Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carlin). They managed a 24-19 victory over the Indian Springs Thunderbirds on Friday.

Carlin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Katelyn Pooley out in front who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Pooley a new career-high. Joey Drown was another key player, putting up nine points.

Carlin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Indian Springs, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Carlin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-18 win against Trona on the 12th. As for Indian Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-9 loss against Owyhee on the 12th.
