Basketball Recap: Greene County Takes a Loss

Greene County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Saydel Eagles, falling 68-40. The Rams were probably out for revenge after losing 71-56 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greene County's record now sits at 2-6. As for Saydel, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.

Greene County will venture away from home to challenge West Marshall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Marshall will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Greene County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saydel, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-50 defeat against Southeast Warren on the 6th.
