Land O' Lakes found their leader in sophomore Sophia Spiegel, who threw for 149 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushed for 55 yards. What's more, Spiegel racked up 129 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March.

Despite the loss, Springstead still got an impressive performance from J'Ziyah Munford, who threw for 111 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 42 yards.

Land O' Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Springstead, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-4.

Land O' Lakes and Springstead should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Land O' Lakes (ranked 23rd) will meet Cypress Creek (ranked 324th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Land O' Lakes 4.5, Cypress Creek 10.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Springstead will face off against Crystal River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday up 222 places (76 vs. 298).
