Baptist Prep is a perfect 3-0 against Perryville since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out to challenge the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Perryville will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Baptist Prep extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Eagles never let Two Rivers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Eagles' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three matchups.

Macy Childers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Addison Highfill was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mollie Bennett, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three runs.
Baptist Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Perryville got the win against Jessieville on Monday by a conclusive 17-3. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Like Baptist Prep, Perryville also got a great game from a two-way player: Ainsley Tippen. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Tippen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Ella Tolley was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Kendyl Griffin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Baptist Prep's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Perryville, their record now sits at 12-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Baptist Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Perryville struggles in that department as they've averaged .544. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Baptist Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Perryville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
