Baseball Recap: Monacan Takes a Loss

Monacan was the 7-0 winner over Powhatan when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Chiefs fell 4-1 to the Indians on Tuesday.

Monacan's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Powhatan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Monacan is set to square off against their familiar foe Clover Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Powhatan will challenge rival Cosby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 4, the Titans 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
