Volleyball Recap: San Dieguito Academy Comes Up Short

San Dieguito Academy was the 3-1 winner over San Marcos when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Friday.

Tanner Cummings paced San Dieguito Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Cummings got some help from Trevor Anderson and his 25 assists. Finally, Grant Volz kept San Dieguito Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

San Dieguito Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-13 record this season. As for San Marcos, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.
