The third road contest was the charm for Ann Sobrato, as they earned their first away win of the season. They blew past the Gilroy Mustangs 42-7 on Thursday. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Brayden Hughes produced another solid effort throwing for 248 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 40 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Hughes was just one part of a punishing run game: Ann Sobrato was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 287 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 234 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Ann Sobrato is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.4 points over those games. As for Gilroy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
