Sahuaro had a senior duo take command as Carly Coolidge went 7 for 17 en route to 19 points and six boards and Biale Sika went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points. What's more, Sika also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Dazmyne Gambrell was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mica Mountain entered their game against Salpointe Catholic on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Mica Mountain was beaten by Salpointe Catholic 72-30. The contest marked the Thunderbolts' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
Sahuaro will have to contain Isabella Webb as she made an impact in Mica Mountain's last game. She went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and four steals. Webb has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played.
Sahuaro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.9 points per game. As for Mica Mountain, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.
