Baseball Recap: Owensville Starts off Right with Win over New Bloomfield

Owensville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top against the New Bloomfield Wildcats by a score of 5-1.

Owensville got a great performance from Matt Eckelkamp as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landon Kramme, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Owensville is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Rolla at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Bloomfield, they will host Wheatland at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
