Volleyball Recap: Shelby Gets the Win

Shelby won the last time they faced River Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Whippets came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 3-1.

Shelby had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 8-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

Madison Henkel paced Shelby's offense, picking up 13 kills. Henkel got some help from Aubrey Lay and her 32 assists. Lay was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Despite the loss, River Valley still got an impressive performance from Arianna Osborne, who had nine digs and four aces.

Shelby now has a winning record of 3-2. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
