The biggest upset of the week belonged to Winter Springs, who took down 89th ranked Oak Ridge, 25-20.
Ocoee moved up to 220 from 255 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 4. The Knights were able to move up by topping East River 20-14.
Lake Howell's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. GARRETT KRUCZEK threw for 260 and 3 touchdowns and CALEEM JOSEPH had 64 yards receiving. On the ground ERIC APONTE contributed 62 yards. James Danin helped Lake Howell's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 66 yards.
He went 15-18 with 0 interceptions.
APONTE was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 62 yards as the Silver Hawks bested East Ridge. Teammate MICAH DUBOSE added to the ground attack by rushing for 56 yards.
Lake Howell's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Silver Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. KRUCZEK has thrown for 1,311 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while JOSEPH has 28 catches for 399 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Lake Howell takes on the Bears. Thomas Oliver's team is currently in fourth, while Winter Springs is in second.
The Silver Hawks took down the Knight 45-9 last week, the largest margin of any game. KRUCZEK during the win.
