Baseball Recap: Westbury Christian Comes Up Short

Westbury Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cooper Dragons.

HR Emanuel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Westbury Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cooper, their win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7-1.

Westbury Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Rosehill Christian at 7:00 p.m. on April 4th. As for Cooper, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tomball Kings at 6:30 p.m. Tomball Kings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight.
