Softball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends University's Winning Streak

Friday just wasn't the day for University's offense. They fell just short of the Matanzas Pirates by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 back in March.

The loss snapped University's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-5 record. As for Matanzas, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

University wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-5 win against Melbourne on the 5th. As for Matanzas, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against West Nassau on the 5th.
