The list of accolades keeps growing for DJ Uiagalelei of St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) after a monster senior season.

The Clemson-bound star was named the MaxPreps Co-Player of the Year along with Mater Dei's Bryce Young earlier this month. Cal-Hi Sports honored him with Mr. Football in California and he was also named the All-American Offensive Player of the Year.

He can now add the Polynesian High School Football Player of the Year award to his mantle. He joins Taulia Tagovailoa, Puka Nacua and Talanoa Hufanga as past winners.

The country's top-rated quarterback led the Braves to their third state championship in school history and finished the year at No. 1 in every high school poll.

The future Tiger threw for 4,225 yards and 48 touchdowns against two interceptions. He added another 400-plus yards on the ground and six more scores.

Uiagalelei led the CIF state champs to notable wins over No. 2 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), No. 12 De La Salle (Concord, Calif.), No. 18 Good Counsel (Olney, Md.), DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), Centennial (Corona, Calif.), Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), Liberty (Henderson, Nev.), JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.), Mililani (Hawaii) and Servite (Anaheim, Calif.).

He played his best when it mattered most. He accounted for nearly 1,000 yards of total offense and 10 touchdowns in wins over Mater Dei and De La Salle in the section and state championship games. The most impressive stat however was zero turnovers.

During his high school career he threw for 10,496 yards and 127 touchdowns. He completed nearly 70 percent of his passes and rushed for more than 1,100 yards and 18 more scores while leading the Braves to a 32-4 record as the starting quarterback.
