Soccer Recap: Lake Brantley Comes Up Short

Lake Brantley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edgewater Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by just one goal.

Lake Brantley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for Edgewater, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Lake Brantley and Edgewater could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Lake Brantley (ranked 381st) will meet University (ranked 140th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Edgewater will face off against Timber Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday down 159 places (251 vs. 92).
