A Region V recap November 13, 2013

Allendale-Fairfax extended the longest winning streak in A Region V this week by beating Latta, 14-8. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.

Allendale-Fairfax and the Vikings played the most contested game in the league this week, with Allendale-Fairfax eventually emerging with a 14-8 victory. Brandon Jordan threw for 30 yards and 1 touchdown, ran for 57 yards and caught 1 pass for 37 yards in the win.

DeAngelo Bryant provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Estill topped Johnsonville.

KeShawn Busby was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Fighting Gators topped the Flashes. The 5-foot-8 senior recorded 1 fumble.

Jordan put up the best numbers through the air as Eddie Ford's team bested Latta.

Denmark-Olar's Ricco Parler and Polite Ricky have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Parler has thrown for 1,084 yards this season, while Ricky has 11 catches for 208 yards. Estill's Jarvis Singleton leads the league in rushing yards with 1,339.

Branchville lost to Timmonsville 58-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
