Football Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 35 points the game before, St. Mary was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against the De La Salle Spartans, falling 36-7. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Ronan Carr threw for 59 yards on 14 of 24 attempts. On the ground, Diego Hernandez rushed for 32 yards.

De La Salle's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Duece Jones-Drew, who rushed for 66 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Jefferson, who rushed for 63 yards and one score on only five carries.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Mary's and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for De La Salle, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

St. Mary's wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 53-0 win against Lodi on the 3rd. As for De La Salle, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-14 victory against Cathedral Catholic on the 3rd.
