With a playoff win on the line, St. Charles North rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rolling Meadows Mustangs with a sharp  12-1 victory. The North Stars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
St. Charles North got a great performance from  Carrigan Rich as she  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit.
 On the hitting side,  Ella Heimbuch was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April.  Ivy Gleeson was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
 St. Charles North was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  games.
St. Charles North's record is now 21-9. As for Rolling Meadows,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-22.
As of now, neither St. Charles North nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
