Softball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln lost against St. Clair County back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Bears lost 21-7 to the Fighting Saints.

Aubrey Machen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Cameron Pruitt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 20-12-1. As for St. Clair County, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-13-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will head out to challenge Boaz at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Clair County, they will take on Clay-Chalkville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
