Softball Recap: Chandler Prep Comes Up Short

If Chandler Prep was feeling good fresh off their 29-4 takedown of Trivium Prep on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Chandler Prep fell just short of the Parker Broncs by a score of 13-12 on Thursday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2019.

Giada Lowman and Kate W did some serious damage despite the final result: Lowman went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI, while W scored two runs while going 4-for-5. Those three doubles gave Lowman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Hirsch, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Even though they lost, Chandler Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted a batting average of .355.

Chandler Prep's record is now 4-3. As for Parker, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5-1 record.

Chandler Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 17-5 victory against San Carlos on the 20th. As for Parker, they will welcome Tonopah Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Parker is facing Tonopah Valley at the right time seeing as Tonopah Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
