Basketball Recap: Mount St. Mary Takes a Loss

Mount St. Mary lost against Jones back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mount St. Mary Rockets took a hard 43-28 fall against the Jones Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Longhorns are ranked 103rd).

Mount St. Mary has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Jones, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Coming up, Mount St. Mary will head out on the road to take on Tecumseh at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jones has already played their next contest (against North Rock Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
