Soccer Game Preview: Rochelle vs. Boylan Catholic

The Rochelle Hubs will head out on the road to take on the Boylan Catholic Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Rochelle took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rockford Auburn a 3-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for Rochelle as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Boylan Catholic entered their tilt with Guilford on Thursday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Vikings. Considering Boylan Catholic have won ten matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Guilford with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gracie Adrian (5), Joscelyn Posada, and Zoey Schmidt.

Boylan Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Rochelle, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.

Rochelle might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Boylan Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2022. Can the Hubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
