Volleyball Recap: Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Takes a Loss

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeview Lakers. The Thunderbirds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lakers from their previous meeting back in October of 2019.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop's loss dropped their record down to 0-14-1. As for Lakeview, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Renville County West on the 3rd. As for Lakeview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Windom on the 3rd.
