Basketball Game Preview: Douglas Bearcats vs. Wheatland Bulldogs

Douglas has won four straight games at home, while Wheatland has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Douglas Bearcats will welcome the Wheatland Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Douglas had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt Glenrock on Saturday. Everything went Douglas' way against Glenrock as Douglas made off with a 63-40 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wheatland's game on Saturday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 51-41 victory over Rawlins.

Douglas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points over those games. Wheatland's win bumped their record up to 11-12.
