The Nitro Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Chapmanville Regional Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nitro is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Nitro made easy work of Wayne and carried off an 8-2 victory.
McKenzie Hyatt made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hyatt has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Hyatt was also big at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and a double.
In other batting news, Ava Lane was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
