The Springfield Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Springfield is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Springfield's offense. They came up short against Clay on Wednesday, falling 11-0.

Meanwhile, Hilliard Davidson fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Olentangy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Braves by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Johnny DiBlasio was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hilliard Davidson, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
