Basketball Recap: Lake Placid Dragons vs. Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds
Lake Placid and Lincoln Park Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lake Placid had to settle for second. They took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds. The Dragons' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Lake Placid's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dj Bullard, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Bullard has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. Jason Baker was another key player, putting up four points and 13 boards.
Even though they lost, Lake Placid smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Park Academy only pulled down ten offensive boards.
Lincoln Park Academy found their leader in sophomore Kyle Lexer, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Lexer continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Haazim Marjan, who went 6 of 12 en route to 13 points and seven boards.
Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Lincoln Park Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-17.
