Softball Recap: Colfax Comes Up Short

Colfax lost against Oakmont back in March of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Colfax fell just short of Oakmont by a score of 7-6. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Sabrina Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Kalli Amaral also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Williams wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Colfax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Colfax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Oakmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Colfax is set to face off against their familiar foe Mira Loma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oakmont will challenge rival Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
