Soccer Game Preview: Mount Vernon vs. Sehome

The Mount Vernon Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Sehome Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Mount Vernon's win against Meridian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Sehome strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Lakewood with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for Sehome, who have now won three contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Sehome pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four matchups. As for Mount Vernon, they now have a winning record of 3-2-1.
