Basketball Recap: Bobbi Taylor Breazeale Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Chattahoochee County

On Saturday, the Glenwood Gators earned a 43-34 win over the Chattahoochee County Panthers. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 231st in Alabama, while the Panthers are ranked 481st in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bobbi Taylor Breazeale, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 boards. The contest was Taylor Breazeale's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lillie Moody, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Glenwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matchups.

Chattahoochee County's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Yaelah Protho, who earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamiyah Brown, who had ten points.

Glenwood now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Chattahoochee County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Glenwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-28 victory against Wadley on the 30th. As for Chattahoochee County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-25 win against Central on the 4th.
