Volleyball Recap: Coronado Has No Trouble Against Widefield

Coronado won the last time they faced Widefield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Gladiators.

Coronado never let Widefield on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 26-24.

Jessie Weeks paced Coronado's offense, picking up 14 kills. Weeks got some help from Karina Jarboe and her 18 assists. Beverly Silva controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Coronado's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Widefield, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Canon City on the 23rd. As for Widefield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Palmer on the 23rd.
