Volleyball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Comes Up Short on the Road Against Highlands Christian

Sports Leadership & Management had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Highlands Christian Knights, falling 3-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

While Sports Leadership & Management ultimately came up short, they really made Highlands Christian work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 27-25, 25-21.

Highlands Christian found their leader in sophomore Corbin Shein, who had six aces and two blocks. The dominant performance also gave Shein a new career-high in kills (four).

Looking ahead, Sports Leadership & Management will venture away from home to challenge Boca Raton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Sports Leadership & Management their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Highlands Christian, they will welcome Deerfield Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
