Pigeon Forge posted their closest win since February 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Austin-East Roadrunners out 41-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Austin-East saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tymirrianna Brown almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. Brown's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'Onna Witt, who posted five points along with six rebounds and four steals.

The victory got Pigeon Forge back to even at 11-11. As for Austin-East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.

Pigeon Forge has already played their next contest, a 64-20 win against Greenback on the 10th. As for Austin-East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-31 victory against Eagleton College & Career Academy on the 7th.
