Volleyball Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Comes Up Short on the Road Against Spring Grove + How To Watch

Lyle/Pacelli had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Spring Grove Lions on Thursday. If the Athletics were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-27, 25-16, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Lyle/Pacelli saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Autumn Drennan had four digs and two aces.

Carlie Halverson was the offensive standout of the game as she had nine digs and three aces.

Lyle/Pacelli wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Plainview-Elgin-Millville on the 23rd. As for Spring Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Glenville-Emmons on the 26th.
