Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benedictine). They blew past the Westminster Wildcats, posting a 56-7 victory. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Stanley Smart Jr. produced another solid performance rushing for 108 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Smart Jr. was just one part of a punishing run game: Benedictine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 375 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Benedictine's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece.

The victory got Benedictine back to even at 2-2. As for Westminster, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Benedictine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 30-27 win against Ware County on the 26th. As for Westminster, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on the 3rd. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
