The Bloomfield Bobcats will square off against the Miyamura Patriots at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloomfield will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Miyamura's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Bloomfield hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bobcats never let Shiprock get on the board and left with a 25-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Trae Woods was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Johnny Yates was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gavin Pecotte, who went 4-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Bloomfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 28 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Miyamura won against Kirtland Central on Tuesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over Aztec. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since March 25th.
Xavier Brown was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Miyamura is 4-1 when Brown posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise. Nikki Torres was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.
Bloomfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Miyamura, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both Bloomfield and Miyamura just can't seem to miss. The Bobcats have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Miyamura struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bloomfield took their win against Miyamura when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 11-5 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
