Baseball Recap: New Palestine Dragons vs. Perry Meridian Falcons
New Palestine had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Perry Meridian Falcons 6-4. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 1-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Jacob Morris was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
