Torin Wolf Turns in Season-Best Performance

Minarets was led to victory by Torin Wolf, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Wolf threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also made an appearance on special teams (luckily for Minarets): his a 47-yard strike wound up winning them the game.

Wolf and Minarets will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made five total tackles, and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Chowchilla's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Stephenson and Chowchilla will head out to face off against Fowler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

While Talan Lamattina delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Liberty. Lamattina was dynamite, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown.

Lamattina might have his next game, a home matchup with Minarets, circled on his calendar. When Lamattina last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Travis Selby Delivers Electric Performance Vs Riverdale

Travis Selby posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.

If history really does repeat itself, Selby might just drop another big game when he faces off against Fowler on Friday. Selby rushed for 112 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards the last time he and the Redcats duked it out back in October of 2023.
