Volleyball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

Capital lost against South Charleston back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Black Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-22, 19-25, 25-14.

Korri Marin paced Capital's offense, picking up 16 kills. Marin got some help from Jada Fruit and her 36 assists. Alexa Spruce controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 10-19-4. As for South Charleston, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-16 record this season.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Woodrow Wilson on the 16th. As for South Charleston, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against George Washington on the 21st.
