It's playoff time, and Staunton River had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Tunstall Trojans get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

The result came thanks to Payton Evans's shutout, as she gave up just five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Staunton River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Chewning, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Staunton River pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Tunstall, the loss snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 20-4 record.

As of now, neither Staunton River nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
