Volleyball Recap: Gretna East Gets the Win

After losing to Blair the last time they met, Gretna East decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Griffins came out on top against the Bears by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

The victory didn't come easy: Blair scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Gretna East found their leader in sophomore Brooklyn Beethe, who had 14 digs and three aces.

Gretna East's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Blair, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-11.

Gretna East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Bennington on the 11th. As for Blair, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hastings on the 11th.
