Soccer Game Preview: Bryan vs. Marian

Bryan is 0-5 against Marian since March of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bryan was handed a 17-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They never let Omaha North get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Bryan wouldn't have won without Camila Ontiveros Corrales, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Marian came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Chieftains. Marian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Bryan's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Marian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Bryan might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Marian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
