Patterson came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Mountain House Mustangs by a score of 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

Not much got past Max Medina, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Mountain House off the board. Medina has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, CJ Medina was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Guy Allard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Patterson pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mountain House, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-20-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Patterson beat the Mustangs by a score of 7-1 later that day.
