Southlake Carroll's Quinn Ewers remains No. 1 as California, Georgia, Florida, Texas combine for 107 players.

Texas high school football has bragging rights in the updated Top 247 rankings for the Class of 2022. The Lone Star State leads the way with 32 players featured, including the top-rated player in five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers of Carroll (Southlake)

In addition to Ewers, Shemar Stewart of Monsignor Pace (Miami) and Walter Nolen of St. Benedict at Auburndale (Cordova, Tenn.) are the other five-star recruits in the latest rankings.

Coming in behind Texas are Florida (31), California (23) and Georgia (21) as the only states with at least 20 players featured. Alabama, Louisiana and Virginia were next up with 10 each.

In total, 36 different states are represented and19 schools have at least two players featured, led by the No. 1 team in the country, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), and Las Vegas power Bishop Gorman, who each have five.

Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and St. Frances Academy (Baltimore) each have four. There's a good chance these two powerhouse programs check in at Nos. 1 and 2 when we release our spring football rankings in January.

A couple big movers in the updated list include Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy of Lakeland (Fla.), who jumped up 30 spots to No. 5 overall. One of five Ascenders featured was Daylen Everette, who moved up nearly 100 spots from No. 121 to No. 28.
