Softball Recap: Crestview Wins Going Away Against Paxton

Crestview's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the Paxton Bobcats 15-3. With that victory, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Cambell Toolan made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Tianna Hill and Anna Parker did most of the damage at the plate: Hill scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Parker scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, Hill posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Izzy Voisin was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Crestview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Crestview back to even at 4-4. As for Paxton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-5 loss against Jay on the 11th. As for Paxton, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Cottondale on the 11th.
